Sliders First, Then the Amps at Lager House

Green Dot's dollar-slider menu is the whole reason to eat light before Michigan Ave gets loud. PJ's Lager House has been cranking bands since 1914, and day two just doubles down on cheap smoke and cold beer.

Cass Corridor, Minus the Vinyl Stop

Third Man Records doesn't have confirmed current hours in what we could verify, so this one leans into the rest of Cass Corridor and Midtown instead — the coffee counter inside Jolly Pumpkin, a bookstore that just won Bookstore of the Year, an O'Keeffe show at the DIA, and a dive bar that's been open since 1980. Honestly a better day than standing outside a locked door.

Guardian Building's Lobby, Then Griswold Street After Dark

The Guardian Building's terra cotta lobby is a five-minute look, not an evening — we couldn't pin down current exhibit or event info for it on a Sunday night, so this one uses the block around it instead. Firebird Tavern for a real dinner, then a nightcap at The Congregation, a former church turned bar a few blocks over.

Bert's Band, Then Sliders Past Midnight

Bert's Market Place has had a house band going seven nights a week for decades, and dinner turns into a set before you notice the ribs are gone. Old Miami keeps the amps up over a cheap beer, and Green Dot's slider menu is exactly what you want when the night runs long and tacos aren't actually on the table.

Wander the sheds, grab a pie at Supino, pull a pint at Eastern Market Brewing, then let Murals in the Market's After Dark bring the sheds and streets alive with art and music once the sun's down.

Start with a slow coffee at Avalon, browse Source Booksellers' nonfiction shelves, then let the DIA's Kresge Court carry lunch before closing out at City Bird for Michigan-made goods worth taking home.
